Social media for trades

Social media for home service businesses without the time sink

You do not have time to post between jobs, and you should not have to. Tekton turns the photos you already take on site into a steady, simple presence that shows homeowners you are active and local and good at the work.

In one line: social media for a home service business means turning real job photos and quick crew updates into regular posts on Google, Facebook and Instagram, so homeowners who check you out see an active local company, without you writing or scheduling anything.

Where homeowners look

We post where your customers check you out.

Most trades get value from Google Business Profile posts and Facebook first, with Instagram for visual trades such as landscaping and roofing. We pick the few that fit, and we do not spread you across every platform.

Does a trades business really need social media?

It does not need a lot of it. What it needs is proof of life. A homeowner who is considering you will often check your profile and your Facebook page. If the last post was two years ago, it raises a small doubt about whether you are still in business. Recent photos of real jobs answer that doubt in a second.

Social is also where neighbours recommend contractors in community groups, so a page that looks alive helps when someone tags your company.

What does a light social system look like for a trades company?

A monthly photo drop

Your crew leads send job photos and a line or two about each job into one shared folder. That is the only input we need from you.

Finished-job posts

Before-and-after shots, what the problem was, what you did and the town, turned into short posts with your logo and a clear call to action.

Google profile posts

Posts on your Google Business Profile for offers and seasonal reminders and recent work, which help the profile look current.

Seasonal reminders

Furnace checks in the fall and air conditioner service in spring. Eavestrough and roof checks go out after storms. Each is sent as a timely, useful post.

Crew and company moments

Introductions to your team and anniversaries and community sponsorships, which make a small business feel like neighbours.

Comment and message alerts

A simple alert when someone comments or messages, so a potential job is not left waiting.

How do we keep it from taking your time?

We set a cadence you can sustain, typically a few posts a week, and we work from the assets you already produce. Nothing needs a production schedule. Captions are written in plain language, posts are scheduled ahead and you approve a batch once a month in about ten minutes.

We are honest about the limits. Social media is a supporting channel for trades, and most new work still comes from search and referrals. So we keep the effort proportional and aim it at credibility and recall. We set up paid social if you want it and hand over the controls, but we do not run ads as an ongoing service. For ideas, see what to post when you have no time.

What does a typical month look like?

A typical month for a trades company includes a handful of finished-job posts with before-and-after photos, one or two seasonal reminders, a crew or company post and a few Google profile updates. Each one is short and specific and includes the town.

You supply photos as jobs finish. We write the captions and pick the best images, then schedule everything. Once a month you look at the batch and approve or change it. If a job turns out especially well, say a full panel upgrade or a roof finished ahead of a storm, tell us and we make it a feature post. The aim is a page that shows regular, real work, posted consistently over time.

How does this fit the Growth Engine seat?

Social is one track in the Growth seat, next to local SEO, the website, reviews and booking. It feeds the profile and gives the other tracks fresh material. The build is a one-time investment, then the monthly seat. See the packages page.

This is our founding-client guarantee. The monthly seat is waived until the engine produces the agreed number of new tracked enquiries (tracked calls and booking-form requests from the channels we build) within 90 days of go-live. Paid ads are excluded, and you answer or return the calls that come in. The build is paid and yours either way. We never promise rankings or bookings or revenue.

Common questions

How often will you post?

Usually a few times a week across the channels we choose together, scaled to the photos and updates you can provide.

Do I have to be on camera?

No. Job photos and crew shots are plenty. Video is optional.

Which platform matters most?

For most trades, Google Business Profile and Facebook. Instagram helps visual trades. We skip platforms your customers do not use.

Can you run ads for me?

We set up a campaign when it makes sense and hand over the controls. Ongoing ad management is not something we offer.
