Branding for clinics

Branding for physiotherapy, chiropractic and massage clinics

A new patient forms an opinion about your clinic from the sign and the website and the intake form before meeting anyone. Tekton builds a calm, consistent identity that reads as professional and welcoming, and accurate about who you are.

In one line: branding for a clinic means a name and logo that feel professional and welcoming, a consistent look across signage, forms, website and practitioner photos, and accurate use of professional titles, so patients trust the clinic before their first visit.

Across every patient touchpoint

The same look from the sign to the intake form.

We apply the identity to your signage, your website, your forms, your email signatures and your Google Business Profile, and set up templates in the tools your team already uses, including Jane, Cliniko or Noterro where they allow branding.

Why does a clinic's look matter to patients?

Patients are often in pain or worried, and they are choosing someone to touch and assess their body. Visual cues carry more weight than usual. Clean, consistent materials suggest careful practice, while a patchwork of logos and mismatched forms suggests the opposite, whatever the clinical skill behind them.

A clear identity also helps a multi-practitioner clinic present as one team, and it helps a solo practitioner look as established as a larger group.

What does branding involve for a clinic?

Name and positioning

A name that is clear about the profession and place, plus a short statement of who you serve and how you work. It sets the tone for every page and form.

A logo that works small

A mark that holds up on a door decal, a referral pad, a Google profile image and a phone screen, with light and dark versions.

A calm palette and readable type

Restrained colours and an accessible typeface pair, tested for contrast so older patients and those with low vision can read everything.

Signage and stationery

Layouts for the exterior sign, reception, treatment-room notices, business cards and referral forms.

Intake forms and email templates

Forms and messages that carry your identity and match the site, so the patient feels the same clinic from first click to first visit.

Practitioner photography direction

Guidance on natural, well-lit portraits and clinic photos, so practitioners look approachable and the space looks as it really is.

What must branding get right for a regulated profession?

Titles and claims have to be accurate. A practitioner uses the title their college permits, names appear as registered and the clinic does not imply a specialty or credential nobody holds. We confirm titles with each practitioner and keep taglines free of outcome promises, in line with the advertising standards Ontario's health colleges publish for each profession.

The identity also avoids the clichés of the category, such as glowing spines and stock photos of models stretching on a beach, because they tell a patient nothing about your clinic. Real photos of your team and space do. You keep the source files and a one-page guide, so a new receptionist or a sign maker can apply the brand correctly. For more, see why a logo is not a brand.

What does the process look like?

We begin with a conversation about your clinic and your patients and the atmosphere you want them to feel. We review nearby clinics so yours does not blend in, and we ask each practitioner what they would like patients to understand about their work.

Two directions follow, then refinement. Accessibility is checked at each step: contrast and type size and readability on a small screen. Once you approve the identity, we apply it to the website, your profile, intake forms and signage layouts. If you rent space, we check the building's sign rules first. You get all the files and a simple guide, and the rollout can run in stages.

How does this fit the Growth Engine seat?

Branding is one track in the Growth seat and shapes the website, the profile, reviews and forms. It usually comes first in the build, so everything after it looks consistent. The build is a one-time investment, then the monthly seat. See the packages page.

This is our founding-client guarantee. The monthly seat is waived until the engine produces the agreed number of new tracked enquiries (tracked calls and booking-form requests from the channels we build) within 90 days of go-live. Paid ads are excluded, and you answer or return the calls that come in. The build is paid and yours either way. We never promise rankings or bookings or revenue.

Branding for clinics

Common questions

Do we need a rebrand or just a cleanup?

Often a cleanup. If your current logo and colours work, we standardize them and apply them consistently.

Who checks professional titles and claims?

We confirm titles with each practitioner, and you and your practitioners check the copy against your college's published advertising standards before launch. You make the final call.

Can you do practitioner photos?

We give direction and recommend local photographers, and we can coordinate a shoot day.

Who owns the brand files?

You do, once the build is paid, including the logo source files and the guide.
