Chiropractic care in London
If back pain, neck pain or headaches are wearing you down, Anchor Chiropractic in London gets to the root and explains what we find, and what it costs, before anything is treated. We are accepting new patients, you do not need a referral, and we direct-bill most extended health plans.
The First-Visit Exam, $95A full history and exam, your report of findings, and every cost in writing before any treatment begins. Nothing is treated until you say go.
What we help with in London
Most people come in with one specific complaint. Tap yours, or read how we assess the work that fills a typical week.
- Low back pain
- Neck pain
- Headaches
- Sciatica
- Posture and desk strain
- Sports injuries
- Pregnancy-related discomfort
- Whiplash and motor vehicle accidents
Backs, necks and desk strain
A good share of any week is desk workers from downtown London whose necks and low backs stiffen up by mid afternoon. We look at how you sit and how you move through a working day, then build a plan around both.
Sport and weekend injuries
Players from the weekend hockey leagues who felt something in the second period and searched us on Monday. We assess where the load is going and work around your season rather than asking you to stop everything.
Headaches, pregnancy and after a collision
Tension headaches, pregnancy-related discomfort and whiplash after a car collision all bring people in. Where a collision is involved, we look after the motor vehicle accident and WSIB paperwork too.
What happens at your first visit
If you have never seen a chiropractor, not knowing what happens is half the hesitation. Here is exactly how it goes, and you will know what we found and what it costs before any treatment begins.
Dr. Whitfield calls the report of findings “showing you my homework”. He walks through what the exam found and what he recommends, and the costs go in front of you in writing. Then you decide. No surprise treatment and no surprise bill.
Health history and exam
We start by listening. Your chiropractor takes a full health history, asks what brought you in and examines how you move. This is also where we screen for anything that would make adjustment the wrong choice for you.
Report of findings
Before any treatment, your chiropractor explains in plain language what the exam showed and what we recommend. You will see the costs in writing. Ask anything you like, including about risks and alternatives.
Treatment begins when you say go
Nothing happens without your consent. If you are comfortable with the plan, treatment can often begin the same visit. If you would rather take time to think it over, that is fine too.
The First-Visit Exam
Every first visit at Anchor Chiropractic includes:
- A full health history and exam
- Your report of findings in plain language
- Every cost on one page, in writing
- Treatment only when you say go
All of it inside the $95 first visit.
Is chiropractic adjustment safe?
Chiropractic adjustment is a regulated treatment performed by licensed chiropractors, and your chiropractor screens your health history first to check it is appropriate for you. Like any treatment it carries some risk, which is why risks and alternatives are explained before you decide anything. Adjustment is one tool among several we use, not the only one. If the exam suggests it is not the right approach for you, we will say so and discuss other options, including referring you to another provider.
How much does a chiropractor cost in London?
At Anchor Chiropractic in London, your first visit costs $95 and follow-up visits cost $55, as of June 2026. The first visit includes your health history and exam along with your report of findings, so you know what we recommend and what it would cost before any treatment starts. Many extended health plans cover chiropractic care in part or in full.
Direct billing, so you pay less up front
Extended health plans
We bill most extended health plans directly. In most cases you only pay the portion your plan does not cover, and we handle the paperwork. If your plan does not allow direct billing, you get a receipt to submit yourself.
MVA and WSIB claims
We handle motor vehicle accident (MVA) and WSIB claims, including the forms that come with them.
Meet your chiropractor
You see the same chiropractor each visit, in the same room. The clinic sits on Wortley Rd in the middle of Wortley Village, so plenty of patients arrive on foot between errands and the rest drive over from downtown after work. Either way, you will never be handed off to someone you have not met.
What patients say
Dr. Whitfield explained each step before it happened, and the costs were laid out in writing before I decided anything. I never felt rushed and every question got a straight answer.
Renee L., Londonvia Google
I came in for low back pain that had nagged for months. They were clear about what they could help with and what to expect, and I can sit through a work day again.
Marcus T., Londonvia Google
Booked online on a Sunday night and had a call back first thing Monday. Straightforward, no pressure, and they direct-billed my insurance so I paid almost nothing up front.

You will always know what we found, and what it costs, first
Anchor Chiropractic is a Wortley Village clinic, and a good share of our patients are neighbours who walk in between errands. Many of them arrived tired of being signed up for a long treatment plan nobody explained, or handed a bill they did not see coming. That is not how we work here. Your report of findings and every cost go in front of you in writing before any treatment begins, and if we do not think we can help, we will tell you.
Sitting all day: the 8-move desk reset
Eight simple stretches and desk setup changes for people who sit all day, written in plain language by Dr. Whitfield. It is educational content, not treatment advice, and you do not need to be a patient to get it.
Chiropractic questions, answered plainly
What is the popping sound during an adjustment?
The sound is gas being released from the fluid inside the joint as the pressure changes, similar to what happens when you crack your knuckles. Nothing is cracking or breaking, and it is not bone rubbing on bone. An adjustment can be effective with no sound at all, so we never chase the pop.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
No. Chiropractors are primary contact practitioners, so you can book directly with us. One note worth knowing: some insurance plans ask for a doctor's referral before they reimburse treatment. Check your plan details, and if yours needs one, bring the referral to your first visit.
How much does the first visit cost?
Your first visit costs $95 as of June 2026. That covers your health history and exam as well as your report of findings, where the recommended plan and its costs are explained before anything is treated. Follow-up visits cost $55. Many extended health plans cover chiropractic care, and we can help you check what your plan includes.
Can you bill my insurance directly?
Yes, we offer direct billing to most extended health plans. In most cases you only pay the portion your plan does not cover. Bring your insurance details to your first visit and we will set it up. If your plan does not allow direct billing, you get a receipt to submit yourself.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on what your assessment shows, so we will not quote a number before we have examined you. At your report of findings your chiropractor lays out a recommended plan with the visit count and the cost, and explains the reasoning behind it. The plan is reviewed as you go and adjusted based on how you are responding.
Will I be adjusted on my first visit?
Only after your assessment, and only with your consent. If the exam shows adjustment is appropriate for you and you are comfortable going ahead, treatment can often begin the same day. If adjustment is not the right approach for you, your chiropractor will say so and talk through the alternatives.
How long is a visit?
Set aside about 45 minutes for your first visit, which covers your health history and exam as well as your report of findings. Follow-up visits usually take about 15 minutes. We book the time your visit needs, so you are never rushed out the door.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing you can move in. You stay dressed for chiropractic treatment, so whatever you would wear for a walk works well. If any part of the exam calls for something different, your chiropractor explains why first and a gown is available.
Can I stop treatment at any time?
Yes. The plan is yours, and you can pause it or stop it at any point. Your chiropractor will give an honest opinion on where things stand if you ask, and the decision always rests with you. Coming back later is fine too, and your file will be waiting.
